The gases extracted from the sample at vacuum condition were injected into a gas chromatograph through an originally developed gas sampling unit (GSU). The gases were simultaneously determined using the improved gas chromatograph equipped with several separation columns and a photo-ionization detector (PID). The relative standard deviations (n=10) were 1.0, 3.4, 0.6, 1.0, 1.4, 0.8 and 0.9% for H2, 02, N2, CH*, COz, CO and QH, respectively. The gases B,, Qz, N,, Cii, CO, and CO from the MOX fuel pellets were simultaneously determined in this study.
